Job Purpose
The Superintendent will support the Customer during the construction phase of the PV located in Alberta, Canada.
This position ensures that all site activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project standards, quality requirements, and schedule targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities on-site in coordination with the site management team.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and procedures.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and verify that works are executed according to drawings and specifications.
- Monitor work progress and support the achievement of mechanical and substantial completion milestones.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality, progress, and safety.
- Maintain updated daily reports, photos, and checklists as part of the quality documentation.
- Coordinate with the Customer’s Site Supervisors Coordinator and Quality Management team to report progress and issues.
- Ensure the use of approved PPE and compliance with occupational safety standards.
- Support the preparation of documentation required for project handover.
- Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to project planning discussions.
Job Qualifications
- Engineering or technical background in Construction, Mechanical, or Industrial disciplines.
- Proven experience as a Superintendent or in construction supervision roles, ideally within solar PV or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of construction methods, safety standards (OSHA/Canadian regulations), and quality control procedures.
- Strong communication and reporting skills in English.
- Proficiency in using computer and mobile tools for reporting and documentation.
- Availability for on-site work in Alberta, Canada.
- Authorization to work in Canada.
Work Conditions
- Full-time, on-site position in Alberta, Canada.
- Approximately 55 hours per week.
- Accommodation in shared housing provided.
